Face masks have made an entry in our daily lives. In public transportation of some countries they are compulsory.
Masks help us in the fight against the coronavirus and help us to stay healthy during this pandemic. They prevent bacterial and viral contamination.
But what next? Do you throw them away after each use? Or would you rather reuse your homemade or expensive face mask?
Face mask disinfection
With the COBstr Box you can disinfect a face mask for reuse. While the COBstr technology was developed to attain a certain intensity of UV-C the device has no medical accreditation or certification. COBstr decided not to wait for that in the battle against Corona.
How to use the COBstr Box?
No need for detailed manuals.
- Open the COBstr box
- Hang your face mask in the box
- Close the box
- Switch it on for one or two hours. For the soft material face masks are made of we recommend a longer disinfection time because the UV-C radiation must penetrate the tissue, whereas with hard materials this is not necessary.
- Wash your hands and remove your disinfected face mask from the box.
Face masks during COVID-19
In the United States, the method of disinfection by UV-C radiation is very current. There are a lot of different recommendations regarding how long and how much it takes to kill the coronavirus.
The COBstr Box allows you to start reusing your face mask. UV-C disinfection is a method also used in hospitals. Good for the planet and your wallet.
