How does UVC technology work?

Ultraviolet light is a kind of electromagnetic radiation. There are three kinds of UV waves:

  3. UV-C

Of the ultraviolet radiation that reaches the Earth's surface, more than 95% is the longer wavelengths of UV-A, with the small remainder UV-B. Almost no UV-C reaches the Earth’s surface. However, it is the shorter bands of UV-C that is the most-energetic form of UV radiation produced by the sun. As you can read, the disinfecting effect of UV-C light after 1 hour is almost 100% while other “disinfectants” don't even come close after 24 hours .
Incidentally, this particular test is based on “soft” materials, such as mouth caps. For this, irradiation of 1 hour or more is advisable. But for hard objects, the percentage of 99.9998% can be reached in a matter of minutes.
